This masterpiece, with its mixture of grandeur, intimacy, virtuosity and informality, will be performed alongside Octet by Philip Sawyers who was appointed the orchestra’s Composer-in-Association in 2015.  The ensemble had the pleasure of recording this work back in April for a future ESO Digital broadcast and are delighted to be sharing this very welcome addition to the repertoire with you.
