“Leviathan” for Contrabassoon and Chamber Orchestra, Op. 59 – Ruth Gipps
After a very successful concert in 2021, we are very excited to be involved in the ‘Elgar for Everyone’ concert as part of the 2022 Royal Jubilee Elgar Festival which will take place on Sunday 5th June in Routh Hall, Bromsgrove School.
All three orchestras from ESO Youth will be performing at this event – Beginners, Intermediates and Youth. The ESO Youth Chamber Orchestra will perform Richard Rodney Bennett’s Partita and Leviathan for Contrabassoon and Chamber Orchestra, Op. 59 by Ruth Gipps. The contrabassoon soloist will be Rosemary Cow – Principal Bassoon of the ESO.
The tutors are all core members of the ESO (DBS checked) and bring their own ideas on how to inspire the young people who attend.
