After a very successful concert in 2019, we are very excited to be involved in the ‘Elgar for Everyone’ concert as part of Elgar School 2021 which will take place on Sunday 31st October at Three Counties Showground, Malvern.

All three orchestras from ESO Youth will be performing at this event – Beginners, Intermediates and Youth. The Youth Orchestra will perform Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s ‘The Bamboula’ and Pomp & Circumstance March No. 4 by Elgar. Holst’s ‘Mars’ & ‘Earth’ by Zimmer (both BBC Ten Pieces) will be performed by the ESO Youth Combined Orchestra where all three ensembles will play together!

There will be 4-5 tutors plus a conductor on this workshop, one covering each section of the orchestra. The tutors are all core members of the ESO (DBS checked) and bring their own ideas on how to inspire the young people who attend.

COVID protocols including social distancing and protective screens will be tailored specifically to this event. We will require a health declaration form to be filled in at registration. We would also take temperature readings with a non-contact thermometer (not mandatory).
