Corinne Frost – Co-Principal cello
Corinne was a prize winning student at the Royal Academy, studying the cello with Florence Hooton and also becoming her assistant.
She studied with the great French cellist Pierre Fournier before embarking on a professional career as chamber musician, solo performer and orchestral cellist.
For seven years Corinne was a member of the Philharmonia orchestra, and today is co-principal cello in the ESO as well as an active soloist and ensemble player. She was instrumental in establishing the ESO’s widely praised series of Care Home Concerts and serves as a Trustee of the Elgar School of Music.
Corinne is an Associate of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and enjoys teaching both at Marlborough College and privately. She is also a tutor for the ESO beginners and intermediate orchestra courses.
